Rochester Rundown:

Rochester 2, Columbus 11

Poor Pitching lost the game for the Redwings tonight. Glen Perkins got the start and he struggled. Perkins pitched 3.2 innings giving up six earned on eight hits. He walked four and struck out two. Tim Lahey came in and didn’t allow a base runner through 3.1 innings, while striking out two. Pat Neshek record one out, a strike out, while allowing five earned on six hits. Kyle Waldrop cleaned up after Neshek and recorded the final two outs of the inning. Rob Delaney struck out the side in the ninth. The offense struggled tonight picking up only six hits. Brock Peterson knocked in both runners on an RBI single. Head out to Thursday game and Eddie Money will be signing free autographs.

Rockcat Chronicle:

New Britain 10, Binghamton 2

Chris Parmalee and Mark Dolec lead the charge for New Britain as they roll over Binghamton. Dolec went 3-5 with a double and four RBIS. Parmalee scored three runs on three hits in four plate appearances. Steve Singleton was 2-3 with a double and run scored. Erik Lis 3-5 with two runs scored. Carlos Gutierrez pitch an excellent game, pitching six innings while allowing one run on six hits. He struck out three men while walking two. Chris Province, who came over in the Boof Bonser deal, pitched two innings giving up one run on three hits. Cole DeVries pitched a scoreless ninth.

Ft. Myers Flashback:

Ft. Myers 9, Palm Beach 6

An early two run lead, thanks to Brian Dozier and Estarlin De Los Santos, pushed the Miracle to victory. Dozier was 4-6 with two RBIs. De Los Santos was 3-5 with one RBI. On the mound, Santos Arias pitched four innings and gave up three runs on six hits. The bright spot was that Arias struck out three earned while walking none. Michael Tarsi allowed two runs over 1.1 innings. He walked one and struck out one. Andrei Lobanov picked up the win allowing one run on three hits over 2.2 innings. Billy Bullock came on for the ninth and picked up a save after striking out two batters.

Elizabethton 4, Bristol 8

Oswaldo Arias followed up a phenomenal game yesterday with another great game on Wednesday. Arias was 2-4 with a triple and a home run. Brandon Henderson was 2-2 with a walk. On the hill, Blayne Weller got the start. He allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits over four innings while striking out two. 2010 Draft pick, Sam Spangler pitched two innings allowing one run. David Gutierrez, brother of Carlos Gutierrez, pitch a scoreless inning allowing no hits and walks while striking out 2/3 of his batters. Kyle Necke allowed two runs on three hits through an inning of work

Costal Check-Up:

GCL Twins 4, GCL Rays 7

If you remember one thing and one thing only from this game, remember that the debut of Clay Condrey happened in this game. Condrey, who the Twins signed in the off-season as bullpen help, started the game and pitched a scoreless inning while allowing two hits. He had two strikeouts and one out. Ricardo Arevalo pitched 4.1 innings allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits. He had four strikeouts while walking none. Bart Carter pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings while striking out two. Bart Carrol allowed three runs on five hits in the inning he pitched. Mark Trau pitched a scoreless inning while striking out two. 2010 Draft Pick, Eddie Rosario was 3-4 with one HR and two RBIS.
