Avs ink Mueller

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that they have signed restricted free agent forward Peter Mueller to a 2-year contract.

Mueller, 22, struggled with the Phoenix Coyotes before being acquired by the Avalanche in March.  In 15 games with the Avs, Mueller scored 20 points.

The contract will pay Mueller $1.5 million the first year and then $2.5 million the next year.
