We all knew that Holland was close to signing Eaves, Miller and Meech, and word out of Detroit is that Miller is the first domino to drop this afternoon.  The Wings are reporting that Drew Miller has signed a one year contract to stay in the D.  Does this mean he will actually be a Red Wing come October?  Who knows.  There is still Modano talk out there and with management making it pretty clear that everyone will be competing for their spots, nothing is for sure but having a guy like Miller signed never ever hurts.  No word on money yet but I'm sure this former Spartan got a fair deal from Kenny.  He made a shade over 500K last year so I'd have to assume somewhere in the 750K to 850K range this time around.
